Tell us about your company.

MK Battery is a wholly owned subsidiary of East Penn Manufacturing which operates the largest single-site, lead battery manufacturing facility in the world.  We offer FLOODED, AGM and GEL Monobloc and high capacity batteries as well as the UltraBattery, a new dimension in lead battery technology: a hybrid, long-life energy storage device containing both an ultracapacitor and an AGM battery for highly efficient partial-state-of-charge Renewable Energy and Energy Storage applications.

Your company will be exhibiting at SPI 2018, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?

SPI 2018 provides a terrific opportunity for us to showcase our products, educate the market about our newest technologies, and connect with new and existing customers at the nation’s largest Renewable Energy / Energy Storage Exhibition.

Highlight a 2 or 3 products you will be showcasing at the event?

UltraFlex – a partial state of charge 17kWh battery system

SPI 2018 has many educational sessions & Demo’s, is your company involved in any of them this year?

YES – we have two 45-minute educational sessions scheduled on our new UltraBattery technology.

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see?  Any educational sessions you plan on attending?

It is always good to see the latest developments and technologies, especially those that might complement our products to further the advancement of sustainable solutions within our evolving markets.

When you book a booth for a tradeshow like this what are your expectations and what does your company hope to accomplish at the event?

We know many of our current customers attend this show and it is always good to communicate with them face to face.  We also hope to find new opportunities with new potential customers, applications and locations as well as showcase our newest energy storage lead battery technologies.

A tradeshow of this magnitude is extremely busy and stressful for the staff of exhibiting companies.  Any fun things or places your team can suggest in Anaheim to help unwind?

We enjoy the benefit of being based in Anaheim, a location offering great cuisine and numerous theme parks and recreational activities.  For baseball fans, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are playing the Texas Rangers at home during the week of the show and tickets are usually available.
