Talking RE+ with Solis Inverters

Q&A with | Solis Inverters

Tell us about your company.

Solis Inverters is a publicly traded company on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.  We are a pure play PV string inverter manufacturer and are the #3 inverter company in the world, as rated by IHS in terms of global shipments.  We have offices around the world, employing over 4000 employees, with installations in over 100 countries across the globe. We are quickly expanding and by the end of 2023, our manufacturing capacity will be over 80 GWs. We have a dedicated North American team providing local sales, marketing, training, engineering and service support.

Your company will be exhibiting at RE+, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?

Solis is quickly becoming a familiar name in the North American market where we have been selling inverters since 2009.. It is important for Solis to attend RE+ to ensure the brand continues strong growth and for attendees to see the dedication that Solis has to the North American market.

Solis has had (and continues to have) many white-label partnerships in the US, and we are proud that other companies are so confident with our brand that they put their own name on Solis inverters.  In 2019 we went public and have been expanding rapidly in North America ever since. Finally, Solis has introduced many new products, with new certifications and customer-focused features that we are excited for attendees to see.  The show is a great opportunity for Solis to show the North American market what the rest of the world has been seeing and enjoying by working with us.

What makes your booth a must visit for RE+ Attendees?

The waterfall exhibit is unique, showing off the NEMA 4X (IP66) rating of the rugged Solis inverters.  Solis will also be highlighting the S6 Hybrid and SolisHub for whole home backup and NEM 3.0 all electric homes.  Solis will be showing our latest utility-scale products that can be bundled with Solis AC combiners, switchgear, and pre-assembled skids.  The latest commercial rooftop solutions, including energy storage will also be demonstrated.  Attendees can use tablets and phones to get online and check out the SolisCloud monitoring platform with cutting edge features for homeowners and PV system fleet managers.

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see?  Any educational sessions, pavilions etc. you plan on attending?

One of the most interesting parts of the show is reconnecting with long-time industry friends and catching up on what their respective companies are working on.  Of course, our technical team members will attend several interesting sessions related to new regulations, new residential and commercial battery offerings / strategies, and unique strategies for lowering O&M costs.

Alternative Energy is undertaking rapid advancements, be it Solar Power, Energy Storage, or Smart Grid.  Data and Automation is a huge part for many companies, giving us an idea on how your company and product is utilizing advancements in data and automation.

Solis is integrating PCS (Power Control Systems) into our lines of residential hybrids and battery-ready inverters.  This gives system owners and remote operators greater control and insight into their generation and load management.

Give us your thoughts on what the future holds for the Alternative Energy Industry.

These are important and meaningful days before renewable energy is the dominant energy source on the North American utility grid.  We are in transition today.  There are many new utility requirements and RE equipment is innovating and adapting to the big changes being made to promote interoperability and stability of the North American utility grid.  The RE industry has a stunning opportunity to improve public and private electricity supplies, making them more modular, more resilient, more intelligent, safer and cleaner for all citizens.  We are proud to be in the RE industry.
