Completion of the second stage of the sun2roof project expected for March

Lahore, Pakistan. The meeco Group together with its joint venture, oursun Solar Power Ltd., has pursued a promising partnership with the packaging company Packages Limited. The two companies have concluded a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) contract for the realisa tion of a 3 MWp sun2roof installation in 2014. The first 293 kWp out of the 3 MWp of the sun2roof project have already been installed and connected by early 2015 with the remainder being executed according to the plan.

Packages Limited was founded in 1956 as a joint venture between the Ali Group of Pakistan and Akerlund & Rausing of Sweden, with the aim of converting paper into packaging for the consumer industry. Nowadays, Packages has become a major player and a pioneer in premium packaging solutions in Pakistan. "The sun2roof project will see the installation of two further MWp by end of 2015. The 3MWp project is planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2016", revealed Mr. Zafar.
